Portia Simpson-Miller (who was Prime Minister from 2012-2016) was hospitalised in Kingston Public Hospital (K.P.H.) some days ago.
The former Prime Minister is at the anesthesiology and resuscitation department and She was kept in an induced coma and on artificial lung ventilation during these past days, Emmanuel added.
“The family doesn’t wish to release any further information concerning her health,” Emmanuel explained. “Doctor at Kingston Public Hospital (K.P.H.), are doing their best to provide her with maximum health care.”
Otumfour.com reported earlier on that day that the Former Prime Minister of Jamaica was first placed in the cardiac intensive care unit. However, Simpson-Miller condition suddenly worsened and doctors had to put her into an induced coma. She has been suffering from Parkinson’s disease for some time as well.
In a tweet, Portia Simpson spokesman Gideon wrote that Simpson’s health has “ Worsened.” Gideon added: “Requesting your prayers.”
