Popular Montego Bay businessman Andy Chin was killed on Saturday morning, August 31, during a robbery at his home, and at his business place on Sunshine Plaza, in downtown Montego Bay.
Police say it his believed that the men made off with Chin’s licensed firearm and a safe containing several million dollars.
So far reports are sketchy, but our news team learnt that a group of armed robbers went to Chin’s apartment, where they held him at gunpoint and robbed him of cash and his licensed firearm.
The men took him to his business place on Sunshine Plaza in Montego Bay, where they ordered him to open the establishment before removing a safe, which is believed to contained several million dollars.
Chin attempted to run from the establishment when he was stabbed multiple times by the men who also allegedly shot him.
Chin ran from the establishment and collapse a few chains across the road where he operates a Supreme Ventures Outlet.
The men reportedly escaped in the businessman’s motorcar.
- The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Chin was seen lying on his back in a pool of blood, on the sidewalk, with multiple stab wounds, and what appeared to be stab wounds.
