Up-and-coming dancehall entertainer Quada was arrested and charged on Wednesday (January 15) for murder and arson in connection with the mob killing of 30-year-old man, Miguel Williams of Sterling Castle Heights St.Andrew, last year.
The artiste born Shaquelle Clarke had surrendered himself for questioning sometime yesterday. He was accompanied by his lawyer.
A statement issued today by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) says the singer was charged following a question and answer session with detectives.
Williams, who is said to be mentally unstable was beaten, slain then set ablaze.
Residents of the community had accused Williams of being responsible for the death of eight-year-old Shantae Skyers, which he allegedly raped. Her decomposing body was found in nearby bushes days after she went missing.
Quada is the second individual charged with the murder of Williams. Last year, December, 30 year-old Andrew Breakcliffe was arrested and charged with the same crime, according to the JCF.
