A male suspect is now on the run after the murder of two women at Knowles Road in Mandeville, Manchester on Wednesday morning.
The women, identified by the Constabulary Communications Unit as Shanika Dixon of Knowles Road and Ilora Mullings of Lincoln Road, both in the central Jamaica parish capital, were shot to death while they occupied Dixon’s home.
Police suspect that a man who was in a relationship with Dixon, went to her home at Knowles Road and removed louvre blades to a window in order to gain entry. Once inside, the suspect reportedly opened fire on the two women, killing both of them on the spot before fleeing the scene.
Dixon’s three children — a 13-year-old girl, an eight-year-old boy and a two-year-old boy — who were reportedly inside the house at the time were not harmed.
Police have named Roland Williams, also known as ‘Tommy Boy’, ‘Thomas’ and ‘Long Mouth’, as a person of interest in the double murder.
