Diamond League winner Fedrick Dacres won the men’s discus throw at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland on Tuesday.
Fresh off his winning throw of 68.10m at the Racers Adidas Grand Prix on Saturday, the Jamaican took the victory with a throw of 66.74m to beat 2016 Olympic champion Christoph Harting (66.01m).
Polish star Piotr Malachowski was third with a 65.99m effort.
Dacres’ compatriot Traves Smikle finished fifth with 64.31m.
Reigning Commonwealth Games champion Danniel Thomas-Dodd of Jamaica had four throws over 18m but put one out to 19.03m for second place behind the USA’s Chase Ealey in the women’s shot put.
Ealey uncorked a 19.38m throw to take the victory.
