Police detectives have arrested the boyfriend of a St Elizabeth woman he is accused of killing last night.
The solitude of the quiet farming community of Brinkley in the southern section of the parish was punctured when the man, Romaine Miller allegedly went to the family home of 27-year-old Nevia Sinclair and stabbed her to death.
According to the police, Sinclair had reportedly left the home she shared with her boyfriend because he was physically abusing her.
The details relating to last night’s attack have not been released by the police.
Inside sources revealed that Mr. Miller entered the home by removing window blades where he lay and waited for Ms. Sinclair.
He then attacked and stabbed her with a kitchen knife inside the house.
It is said that he was turned over to the police by his father early this morning.
It is the second violent incident in as many days in Jamaica.
On Saturday night, a Jamaica Defence Force Corporal killed his girlfriend then committed suicide in the Four West community of Greater Portmore, St Catherine.
