Every celebrity gets asked the same question on awards show red carpets: Who are you wearing? Fashion is one of the main reasons people tune in to the Emmy Awards each year (aside from, you know, the actual awards). And in 2018, the celebrities pulled out all the stops with their stunning ensembles.

Here are the best red carpet looks from the 2018 Emmy Awards.

Sarah Paulson

In her 2018 Emmys look, Sarah Paulson wasn’t messing around. She was giving us total Black Swan vibes, but in the best way possible. Her all black, feathered Oscar de la Renta gown was dramatic and fearless, and paired perfectly with her simple accessories and deep red lip. But our favorite part? The fierce attitude she brought to the look.

Thandie Newton

Westworld star Thandie Newton managed to make bubblegum pink look chic. Her gown was designed by Brandon Maxwell, and it features a gorgeous cape we can’t get enough of. She gave her look even more glam by accessorizing with Harry Winston earrings and a metallic box clutch.

Samira Wiley

We weren’t able to take our eyes off of Samira Wiley all night at the 2018 Emmy Awards. She looked like an award herself in her silver sequin Jenny Packham dress. Paired with stunning Lorraine Schwartz earrings and a silver clutch, this may be our favorite look from the Handmaid’s Tale star ever.

Emilia Clarke

The Mother of Dragons was definitely looking like a queen at the 2018 Emmy Awards. Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke rocked a gown that perfectly combined feminine and sultry, which we weren’t surprised to learn was by Dior Haute Couture.

Clarke even praised on Instagram, “YUP. My people did good.  Hours and I mean HOURS later. She found her light.”

Issa Rae

We’ve never seen a jumpsuit/evening gown combo work so well. Issa Rae looked like a breath of fresh air on the Emmys red carpet in her powder blue Vera Wang jumpsuit. According to People, it featured an impressive amount of 3,000 crystals — which she enhanced with some gorgeous statement jewelry.

Mandy Moore

Mandy Moore was straight-up glowing in her gorgeous red carpet ensemble. Not only did her hair and makeup look flawless, but her custom Rodarte dress hugged her in all the right places. She accessorized the look with glamorous Harry Winston diamond drop earrings and a statement bracelet.

Sandra Oh

If anyone brought the heat to the 2018 Emmy Awards, it was Sandra Oh. We can’t get over her red gown with a sexy plunge and beaded details. But potentially our favorite part of the look was her matching red heels, which proved she was having fun with fashion for the night.

Darren Criss

It’s not always easy for men in suits to stand out on a red carpet, but Darren Criss was looking noticeably stylish on the 2018 Emmy Awards red carpet. Not only was his suit tailored to perfection, but the unique design totally won us over.

Scarlett Johansson

It’s no surprise that Scarlett Johansson brought her A game to the red carpet. While posing alongside her beau, 2018 Emmy Awards host Colin Jost, she looked utterly angelic in a plunging, white, sequined gown by Balmain. Her accessories perfectly complemented the ensemble, including metallic heels and jewelry by Nikos Koulis.

Keri Russell

The Americans star Keri Russell delivered one of our favorite looks of the night on the red carpet. Her black, feathered, glitzy dress by Zuhair Murad Couture was sexy yet sophisticated, and it paired gorgeously with her unique wrap-around sandals.
