Gunmen kill three business operators in Hanover

Three business operators were shot and killed by gunmen in Hanover last night.

The police say 49-year-old Noel Mair and his common-law wife, 47-year-old Marcia Johnson, were killed inside the Blue Star Restaurant they operated in the community of Dias.

The third victim, 49-year-old Peter Aitcheson, was also killed inside the bar he operated metres away from the restaurant.

According to investigators, nothing was taken from either establishment and as a result robbery has been ruled out as a motive for the triple slaying.

It’s reported that shortly after 9 o’clock residents heard gunshots and summoned the police.

When the police arrived they reportedly found Mair and Johnson inside their restaurant with gunshot wounds.

About 100 metres away, the police say Aitcheson was found with gunshot wounds inside his bar.

The three were taken to the Noel Holmes Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
